In Stores November 24
New Song "3" Goes to Radio September 29

New York, NY - In celebration of the 10th anniversary of her debut on the music scene, Jive Records is releasing Britney Spears The Singles Collection on November 24. To launch the special package a brand new single entitled "3," which Britney recently recorded with hitmaker Max Martin, will go to radio Tuesday, September 29.

There will be two configurations of The Singles Collection; an ultimate fan box set and a standard version.

The ultimate fan box set version of The Singles Collection will contain all 29 of her singles, including the new song "3." Each disc will be packaged in its own slip sleeve case with original artwork, and will include an additional b-side or a remix of the track. The collection will include a DVD featuring all of Britney's videos in chronological order. The ultimate fan box set will also include a special booklet featuring iconic images and fun facts about each track.

The standard version of The Singles Collection will contain 17 of her chart topping favorites along with the new song "3," all on one CD.

During her 10 year career, Britney has had 5 albums debut at the #1 spot on the Billboard Top 100 Album Chart, as well as 23 Top 40 hits on the Billboard Pop Singles Chart. Worldwide, Britney Spears is one of the top-selling artists of the last decade, constantly topping charts with her albums ...Baby One More Time (1999); Oops!... I Did It Again (2000); Britney (2001); In The Zone (2003); Blackout (2007) and Circus (2008). Worldwide she has sold over 63 million albums.

Ini dia, kabar terbaru dari penyanyi yang sering menuai kontroversi Britney Spears. Rencananya, pelantun 'Womanizer' itu akan kembali menunjukan kemampuan aktingnya lewat film perang.

Seperti detikhot kutip dari Female First, Selasa (23/6/2009), sumber mengungkapkan saat ini Britney tengah bernegoisasi untuk bisa tampil di 'The Yellow Star of Sophia and Eton'. Film tersebut bersetting Perang Dunia II.

"Jika dia menerima peran itu, Britney akan berperan sebagai Sophia LaMont, pemeran utama film ini," ujar sumber tersebut.

Di 'The Yellow Star of Sophia and Eton', tokoh Sophia adalah perempuan yang menciptakan mesin waktu dan melakukan perjalanan waktu ke masa Perang Dunia II. Di sana ia bertemu dengan Eton yang akan jadi kekasihnya.

Rencananya, film tersebut akan mulai digarap pada September mendatang bersamaan dengan berakhirnya tur Britney. Namun hingga saat ini belum dipastikan siapa yang duduk sebagai sutradara.

Jika negoisasi berjalan lancar, 'The Yellow Star of Sophia and Eton' akan jadi film ketiga yang pernah Britney bintangi. Sebelumnya ia sempat tampil di 'Crossroads' dan 'Long Shot'

Biography

Britney Spears memiliki nama lahir Britney Jean Spears, lahir di Kentwood-Louisiana Amerika Serikat, 2 Desember 1981. Sejak kecil Britney suka senam dan menari. Britney bahkan sering mengikuti kejuaraan senam setingkat negara bagian.

Pada usia 11, Britney mengikuti audisi untuk serial The New Mickey Mouse Club dan diterima. Di serial inilah Britney bertemu dengan Justin Timberlake, pacar pertamanya.

Tahun 1997, Britney bergabung dengan grup yang beranggotakan perempuan, Innosense. Di tahun yang sama, Britney memutuskan untuk berkarier solo dan menandatangani kontrak dengan Jive Records. Britney pun memulai sering menjadi artis pembuka pada konser 'N Sync dan Backstreet Boys.

Single perdana Britney, ...Baby One More Time dirilis akhir 1998 dan langsung menuai sukses baik di Amerika maupun di dunia, terjual sebanyak 9 juta kopi. Single ini juga masuk ke dalam MTV's "100 Greatest Pop Songs of all time".

Britney kemudian menjalin hubungan dengan penari latarnya, Kevin Federline. Mereka mengumunkan pertunangan di bulan Juli 2004, 3 bulan setelah mereka bertemu. Saat itu, Kevin sedang berhubungan dengan aktris, Shar Jackson, yang sedang mengandung 8 bulan anak kedua mereka.

Britney menikah dengan Kevin 18 September 2004 dan didaftarkan pada 6 Oktober 2004. Britney melahirkan anak pertamanya dengan Kevin, Sean Preston Federline, pada tanggal 14 September 2005. Beberapa bulan setelah Sean lahir, Britney hamil lagi. Anak kedua, Jayden James Federline, lahir tanggal 12 September 2006, dua hari sebelum ulang tahun pertama Sean.

Selama menikah dengan Kevin, Britney mengeluarkan 2 album, GREATEST HITS:MY PREROGATIVE (2004) yang berisi lagu-lagu terbaiknya dan B IN THE MIX:THE REMIXES (2005), yang berisi remix dari hit-hit terbaik Britney.

Agustus 2007, Britney memutuskan untuk kembali ke dunia tarik suara dengan merilis single Gimme More. Britney juga tampil di MTV Video Music Awards 2007. Penampilannya ini lebih banyak menuai kritik daripada pujian, baik dari penampilannya yang hanya mengenakan bikini, maupun kurangnya latihan sebelum tampil.

Kesialan Britney tak berakhir sampai di situ, 18 September 2007, agensi top The Firm (yang selama ini memanajerinya) telah memutuskan hubungan kerja.

Setelah sempat terpuruk akibat masalah pribadinya, bahkan membuat Britney. sampai depresi, akhirnya ia mampu bangkit perlahan-lahan. Britney merilis album keenamnya, CIRCUS pada 15 September 2008.

Dengan single andalan, Womenizer, Britney kembali masuk di chart Billboard Hot 100. Bahkan single ini pada minggu pertamanya telah di-download sebanyak 286.000 kali di internet.
